Torn Paper is based on an exercise proposed by Josef Albers for students at the Bauhaus in the 1920s. Torn paper strips are simulated using a Markov chain to distribute colours across the horizontal plane. The colours are treated as points in the RGB cube that move with velocities determined by coprime integers.
